Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA)

Key Responsibilities

• Select and administer anesthesia techniques, medications, and adjunct drugs
• Review patient charts, perform assessments, and formulate anesthesia plans
• Perform intubation, extubation, invasive monitoring, and manage emergencies (including CPR)
• Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and interdisciplinary teams
• Ensure patient safety and accurate documentation

Requirements

• Current Alabama RN license
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia
• NBCRNA certification (initial & recertification)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
• Competence with anesthesia equipment and pharmaceuticals
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nurse Anesthesia: 1 year (Preferred)
